SRC നടത്തുന്ന പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട 4/ 5 കോഴ്‌സുകളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് DMLD കോഴ്സ് എന്നും പഠനപ്രശ്ങ്ങളുള്ള കുട്ടികൾ ക്ക് ഏറെ പ്രതീക്ഷ നൽകുന്ന ഒരു കോഴ്സായി മാറ്റാൻ വേണ്ട എല്ലാ ഉള്ളടക്കവുമുള്ള ഒരു സിലബസ്സാണ്‌ കോഴ്‌സിനുള്ളത് എന്നും SRC യുടെ എല്ലാ പിന്തുണയും ശ്രദ്ധയും കോഴ്‌സിന് ലഭ്യമാക്കുമെന്നും ഡയറക്ടർ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു .

RCI അംഗീകാരം എന്നതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വിശദീകരണം .
**RCI അംഗീകാരം എന്നതിന് പ്രസക്തി ഇല്ല .
(1)ഇത് ഒരു ഡിപ്ലോമ കോഴ്സ് ആണ് .RCI ഡിപ്ലോമ കോഴ്സ് തുട ങ്ങിയിട്ടില്ല .RCI നടത്തുന്നതു B.Ed കോഴ്സ് ; LD M Phil കോഴ്സ് എന്നിവയാണ് .
(2) DMLD / CMLD യിൽ ശ്രദ്ധ കൊടുക്കുന്നത് മാനേജ് മെന്റ് / റെമീഡിയഷൻ / കൗൺസിലിങ് / IEP എന്നിവക്കാ ണ്
. അസ്സെസ്സ്മെന്റ് ചെയ്യുന്നത് സ്‌പെഷൽ എജ്യൂ കേറ്റേഴ്‌സ് / ക്ലിനിക്കൽ സൈക്കോളജിസ്റ്റുകളാണ് .
We are managers of Learning Disabilities, not professsinls or assessors .
WE do not assess ,we manage and remediate.
DMLD കോഴ്‌സിനെക്കുറിച്ചു
CMLD യിലെ 4 പേപ്പറുകൾ FIRST SEMESTER ആയും ഇനിയുള്ള 4 പേപ്പറുകൾ SECOND SEMESTER ആയും പരിഗണിക്കും .FIRST SEMESTER സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റു കോഴ്‌സിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി പൂർണമായി കഴിഞ്ഞു .
SECOND SEMESTER ൽ ഇനി പുതിയ 4 പേപ്പറുകളിൽ 2 എണ്ണം 200 മാർക്കിന്റെ പരീക്ഷകളും( ഒരെണ്ണം ഒബ്ജക്റ്റീവ് ടൈപ്പ് , ഒരെണ്ണം വിവരണാത്മകം ) മറ്റു 2 എണ്ണം 2 x 200 = 400 മാർക്കിനുള്ള പ്രാക്ടിക്കലുകളുമായിരി ക്കും .

*Learning of Excepetional children - Gifted / Talented
*School safety of children with special needs
*Challenges of children with disabilities.
*Counselling to children , parents and teachers.
*More assessment tools like
NIMHAN'S INDEX, INTELLIGENCE TESTS, ACHIEVENT TESTS
IEP : Focus on MAL , ENG , MATHS
-Outlines of Teaching , Learning Materials will be given with special focus on Montessori methods. based on the outline , participants will have to do practical sessions
INTERNSHIPS
*Visits to get familiarised with the management of LD IN Govt / Non-govt. institutions
like ICONS / NISH / CDCs....
DMLD - CURRICULUM:
* THIS IS THE FIRST BATCH AND HENCE THE CURRICULUM IS SUBJECT FOR FURTHER CORRECTIONS AND MODIFICATIONS
*It is an evolving curriculum updated with recent developments in the field of MANAGEMENT OF LEARNING DISABILITIES
VIEWS OF SATHYAPALAN SIR ON CURRICULUM CONTENT
SRC has already introduced DSM-5 but RCI has not.
-We give importance to a participatory curriculum including remediation and intervention usng different approches in the post covid scenario.
- Flipped learning: flexible environment,( A reversed approach -content collected at home, applied in the classroom - experts available - spends more time in practical sessions )
- Blended learning
- Wakelet.( Save, organize and share content from across the web with Wakelet.)
- Using platforms like clubhouse for discussions
- Critical periods like Prenatal and Post natal.
- The concept that LD can't be cured is becoming outdated. a cure is in the offing based on genetic corrections. Experiments going on birds. The branch of studies that gives hope is neurogenesis.
- New contents are available on research studies in websites like research gate.
- Visits will be conducted to MLD Centres in .....(Coimbatore/ Bud schools/Autism centres/ CONS / NISH / CDCs....)
