12. The Parents’/ escorts’ role during and after the treatment sessions
DURING and after the interactive sessions the parents play/ must a very important role .Both the parents being aware and supportive of the treatment protocol of the child determines the success of the treatment. There are cases where certain families from backward areas pose a challenge for the doctors in ensuring a prolonged and supportive environment for the child. Sometimes the mother will be giving a wholehearted support in providing traing and folowing up a suggested behaviour protocol for parents at home but the father / the male partner does not cooperate in the procedure because of ignorance / alcoholoism/ similiar issues.
