 vii. Procedure of Assessment at various departments / tests 

 DSM -5 an.d ICD -10 is followed for physical and other examinations here.

NIMHANS Index for SLD AND Wechsler's Intelligence Scale for Children is reported to be used here for evaluation.

After registration a general  evaluation at Neurology department takes place . Then the patient is directed to the other departments for intital assessment  as the case may be.Team evaluation takes place and stage by stage therapies and step by step treatment is provided.

For behavioural issues , the patient is sent to psychology department .After behavioural  therapy ,when thepatient   becomes ready for other therapies,she /he is directed to other departments.

Procedure of Assessment

The procedure of assessment generally begins with an interveiw with the parent and the child Then  case history is checked-Further obeservations and discussions might lead to a hypothesis of diagnosis.The doctorr  uses a suitable screening tool based on the present issues to confirm the diagnosisi. More investigations/ medications / therapy /training to do exercises at home are suggested then.Thedate for next appointment is aso fixed.

A calm patient ,elaborative and friendly approach is observed from the part of the doctots at the time our interactons.  Strict covid protocol was maintained too.
